Having finished the connecting rods, piston rods, crank and bearings – it’s time to see if we got it all straight.
The LP went together first – and the plug-gauge worked, the big end fitted nicely! The little end fork and endfloat on the big end needed a little easing, but all OK. Then we fitted the HP end – almost no fitting at all, it just went together (maybe I made the slideways too free!)
and it turns!
Very impressive- you obviously have enough experience to know the DNC isn’t going to go haywire and cluge it.
DNC?
Meant CNC- but reading latest post maybe it does not computer numerical control but measures instead.
