An apology – we’re not dead!

Well, I guess that’s what progress looks like – I haven’t written a thing since we re-launched in May, so it’s actually been going rather well! But a tentative phone call from friends in Australia to discover if Befur’s lack of posting indicated we were no longer shuffling along this mortal coil suggested it was time to write something!…. But, all is well, Lou, I and Befur are in good fettle….

A bit of a blow to progress!

Well two bits of good news, and two less positive points, for this entry….

Positive #1 – She’s in her berth at on Windermere

Ready for the tow to Windermere, she makes quite a long train – but now has her “SY” prefix being a real Steam Yacht!

So, having dispensed with the medical matters (see below), we set about trying to complete the list of 60+ jobs that needed to be done before we could put her back in the water (some of which were discussed here…. Continue reading

One Year since Launch!

Well we are probably due an update….

Windermere

We just spent a week camping on the boat in the company of the SBA (Steam Boat Association of the UK) on Windermere.

A curate’s egg of a week! We did get a very fine trip down to Fell Foot (at the south of the lake) and had some nice pictures taken of us on the way 🙂
